Travel Vacation Packages

We are a family of 5. Mom and Dad, three kids. Ages at time of vacation 18 months, 8 yrs and 13 yrs old.

We want to stay in a hotel, because of the youngest. We will be going in the summer, not sure what month yet between June and August.

We want to visit the coast. I have no idea what to expect. We don’t know what each part of the coast has to offer. I am assuming we will try to stay as close to the south as possible. We are in NJ. We can travel a bit north if there are good vacation areas.

We’re looking for wildlife, and nature, but also things that can be fun for kids who might get bored of just nature.

We need good tips for dining and places to stay. Also, does anyone know what the weather is like during the summer in Maine?

Once I get some basic info, I can run with it. I have been to a ton of Maine tourism websites, but I need a starting point.

I was also hoping to find out if the areas suggested are very expensive to visit. Hotels, food, etc…
I also don’t want it to just be a repeat of the NJ shore. I don’t want to deal with tons of people that are also there on vacation. I know this is weird because my family and I are going there on vacation, but tourists are horrible – you know rude, loud and mess the place up. We aren’t like that and want to minimize our contact with people like that.

I’m hoping for a place that is great for tourists, but not overrun by them.

i bought a Vacation Village Voyaes package where i have to pay off the fee in 5 years. however after using it for under a year i am yet to get a resort at a time that i want to travel. i called and asked to cancel and they said that i basically signed a loan to pay them so it cannot be cancelled. i would hate to be stuck in a lifetime membership to something that is unsatisfactory.

My boyfriend and I would like to take a small vacation during the christmas holidays, but we don’t have a big budget, so we need to find a good vacation deal. Does anyone have some good destinations in mind that you can generally get a good deal on? We’d prefer travel outside the U.S., but realize this will up our costs tremendously. I’m wondering if there are certain travel destinations that aren’t bombarded by tourists during the holidays that may offer good deals?

And if so where did you stay/ Did you like it? What is included…flight, hotel, etc??? How do you get from air port to hotel and back again when you check out…is that included in you final cost?? We have NEVER taken a packaged vacation and need specifics. I asked a question Sat on Hawaii and it was most helpful on which island to stay at…now I need more info from people who have taken a ‘packaged’ trip. I have looked at .com travel sites, but still need help. Thanks in advance.

I was looking to plan a Disney World vacation for 4 adults and my two girls. By the time we are able to go (around April or May), my girls will be 1 and 3. I really want to go on vacation this summer. However, I’m on a budget. What are some really good sites that I can find affordable travel packages. I’ve already visited expedia and others but I know that many people find really good deals elsewhere.
